Two day conference on China and India – Growth Dynamics and Institutions
at Centre for Studies in Social Sciences,
Calcutta, India (CSSSC) to be held on 17 – 18 December,2008
Fast growing economies of China and India have occupied the centre stage of global policy discussions and debates over the last few years. Given the phenomenal worldwide interest these nations have generated among academicians, policy makers and governments in recent times, the conference plans to bring together experts from various fields to discuss the nature of and differences in growth patterns of these countries. Major emphasis will be given to the country specific institutions and governance structures as determining forces behind changes in factor productivity, exports and outsourcing, infrastructure development etc. Any other topic that rigorously looks at related issues will also be welcome.
Interested researchers are requested to send in their papers by 31st August, 2008.
