The Institute for Resource Analysis and Policy (IRAP), a national, non-profit research institute working on natural resources, based inHyderabad, is looking for young professionals (2 positions) to work ona project on integrated urban water management in India as ResearchOfficers/Senior Research Officers. The position would be based inHyderabad, but would involve travel to several cities and towns acrossIndia.The appointment would be contractual, and for a period of two years.The salary would be in the range of Rs. 20,000-Rs.32,000 per month(consolidated), depending on the qualifications and experience. Thenresearchers would also be eligible for air travel during officialtrips to distant places.This is a two-year project supported by one of the private foundationsin India. The project aims at developing a tool kit that help plan,design and implement IWRM plans for different urban typologies inIndia. The project will also develop IUWM plan for one of the towns inKarnataka.The candidate should have an academic background (post graduate degreeor diploma) in civil/environmental/public health engineering/environmental planning/ environmental economics or developmenteconomics. Persons with 1-2 years experience, working on water &sanitation or water resources management, would be most preferred.But, fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
