The Institute has created Professor P R Brahmananda Endowment Research Fund with a donation from his family members. The Endowment Research Corpus will be utilised to award research grant to young researchers working in Monetary and Macro Economics. As decided by the Board of Governors of the Institute, this year's research award will be given to a research work focusing on "The History of Monetary Policy in India Since Independence".
Interested young researchers are invited to send in their proposals for writing the Paper on the theme chosen for the year or submit completed paper, for consideration. The Institute will offer a research award of Rs.35,000/- for the best judged work which can be published in the Journal of Social and Economic Development or any other reputed refereed Journal. The author will have freedom to publish it elsewhere with due acknowledgement to the Institute and the Fund. The proposals should reach the Institute, in the prescribed form, on or before November 30, 2009.
