ADVERTISEMENT FOR FACULTY POSITION
The Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad invites applications for one position of Associate Professor for its ‘Research Unit for Livelihoods and Natural Resources’ funded by the Jamsetji Tata Trust on contract basis for a period of two years in the pay scales as recommended by the 6th Pay Commission and adopted by the UGC/ICSSR. Qualifications: (a) good academic record with a Ph.D. in a social science discipline, (b) a minimum of 55% marks at the Master’s degree level, (c) minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution, (d) published work of good quality with a minimum of 5 researchpublications, and (e) demonstrated capacity to undertake independent research related to livelihoods and natural resources, particularly focusing on forest, dry-land and river basin ecosystems.Selection Procedure: Candidates shortlisted will have to appear for an interview. The Selection Committee is free to consider reputed scholars who may not have applied. The application should be accompanied by: (a) curriculum vitae including academic record and a full list of publications, (b) copies of three publications, (c) names and addresses of three referees.
